AMber Heart Foundation’s continued fight to end Tuberculosis (TB) in Uganda has seen him today take his campaign to the New Taxi Park in Kampala.
Bebe Cool is Uganda’s TB ambassador and has been involved various screening exercises in and around Kampala.
And today the singer with his Amber Heart Foundation have taken to the park to screen more people.
He will go back tomorrow before he heads to Jinja on Sunday.
“Today, with my Amber Heart Foundation team, I will be engaging in a TB screening exercise at the new Taxi park near Kiseka market. This screening exercise will
be carried out for two days to ensure that we reach as many TB missing people as possible.
We chose the New Taxi Park because it brings together thousands of people travelling to and from all parts of the country, yet in congested spaces within taxis and buses is where TB is spread through the air we breath and any time you are travelling with an infected person and they cough, you will likely catch this bacteria.
TB however is curable and the treatment is free in all government hospitals in UGANDA.
Thank you Stop TB partnership, Ministry of Health and Defeat TB for the support.”
The musician will carry out these activities for the whole year.
